I do not believe I will meet UCalgary’s English Language Proficiency Requirements. What options are available to me?
The Academic Communication Certificate (ACC) is designed for English learners who want to improve their English skills to enter Canadian college or university programs. Through intensive instruction of English for Academic Purposes (EAP), students will learn essential skills for an academic setting and acquire critical knowledge for a successful transition to Canadian university culture.
Students completing the ACC with a grade of B+ or higher in all four core course components will meet the English language proficiency requirement for admission into applicable University of Calgary undergraduate programs and graduate programs.
If you apply for undergraduate admission and complete the ACC through UCalgary Continuing Education by the end of summer term in the year of application, you could be considered for conditional admission to a degree program.
