My research focuses on addressing challenges of the Edmonton protocol for the treatment of type I diabetes mellitus through islet based organoids known as pseudoislets. Specifically, I focus on improving islet isolation and recovery, optimization of pseudoislet cryopreservation, and porcine pseudoislet generation.
