Research Interests

Ainsley’s research focuses on using opportunistic computed tomography (CT) images to investigate muscle loss and bone loss in patients who are critically ill. Ainsley’s thesis is seeking to evaluate the use of a phantom-less calibration technique for muscle density analysis of retrospective chest CT scans. Ainsley's project also aims to investigate the risk factors and long-term health implications of muscle and bone loss for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).
