Getting There
By Car
The Lodge is about a 1 hour and 20-minute drive (approximately 108 km) west of Calgary and Calgary International Airport (YYC). From Calgary, take Highway 1 (Trans-Canada Highway) west, then exit onto Highway 40 South toward Kananaskis Village. Continue for about 50 km until you reach the Lodge.
Please note that a Kananaskis Conservation Pass is required for all vehicles parked or traveling in the Kananaskis area, including at the Lodge. The pass is linked to your vehicle’s license plate and must be purchased in advance. You can buy it online through the Alberta Parks website, by phone at 1-877-537-2757, or in person at visitor centers such as Barrier Lake or Peter Lougheed. Pass fees are $15 per day or $90 for an annual pass that covers two vehicles. Because cell service can be spotty, it’s best to obtain your pass before entering the area. Please purchase your conservation pass here.
