The McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health offers the following competitive funding opportunities for institute members:

Encore Catalyst Awards

Following the Music in Motion event in 2015, we created a number of competitive, non-renewable internal awards of up to $30,00 intended to stimulate new and novel research occurring within the Centre for Mobility and Joint Health (MoJo).  There are two competitions per year for three years.

Clinician-Scientist Collaboration Seed Grants

The McCaig Institute, Section of Orthopaedics and Division of Rheumatology would like to invite clinicians and scientists to team up and apply for a 'Clinician-Scientist Collaboration Seed Grant'. These non-renewable internal awards are intended to support projects or generate pilot data that will develop or strengthen collaborations between clinicians and McCaig Institute investigators. Candidates for Clinician-Scientist Collaboration Seed Grants are invited to form teams of at least two (2) individuals; a scientist and a clinician. Teams must consist of at least one McCaig Institute member and the proposed research activity must be related to bone and joint health. Principal applicants are eligible to be one concurrent Clinician-Scientist Collaboration Seed Grant.  Successful teams will be awarded $10,000!
